Biography

Jennie has worked for over 25 years as a professional singer and pianist.   Originally from Manchester, England, she has worked all over the world performing at high-end weddings and events, and is now currently based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. 

​

​Jennie began her musical career in the classical world.

She is both a trained opera singer and pianist.

She studied at the Royal Northern College of Music where she won the Elsie Thurston, John Wray and Kate Snape prizes for singing.

She was awarded a major scholarship by the Peter Moores Foundation, and the MSM Centenary Scholarship, to continue her post-graduate studies at the RNCM.

Her style is very diverse and she has been involved in a number of creative projects and collaborations including releasing her own album of original songs, “Fighting the Fairytale” on her own record label. 

​

Her song "Nothing" was subsequently featured in FX's hit comedy show "You're the Worst".

  

Her talent and passion for singing at weddings became clear when, at the end of 2010, she was voted ‘Wedding Singer of the Year 2010’ by The Bridal Magazine. She was then awarded the title of “Best Entertainment Act” in 2012 & 2014 by County Brides Magazine and went on to be a 2015 finalist.  In 2018, she had the pleasure of joining many of her wedding supplier friends at the Cafe de Paris in London, where she was awarded Best National Solo/Duo Act in The Wedding Industry Awards.  She also won the Best North West Solo/Duo Act in the 2019 competition as well.

 

She has spent the last 3 years in Los Angeles with her actor husband, Chris and 10 year old son, Freddie. During her time there she appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show Live and also performed with her new band, "The Jeneration "for Julie Wainwright, CEO of The RealReal.

 

Notable performances have been at Coronations Street’s Catherine Tyldesley’s wedding, Eastenders’s Jacqueline Jossa & TOWIE’s Dan Osborne's wedding, Manchester United’s Old Trafford for the Champion's League Final, Wayne Rooney's birthday party, the Manchester United Players' Christmas party and Arsenal’s Martin Keown's testimonial dinner at the London Hilton.

 

She regularly works as a rehearsal singer for the celebrity coaches on BBC's The Voice and has just filmed her recent music video in the Hollywood Hills with the talented Joe Bryant of Da Vinci Creative.
